SEND Teaching Assistant | Rochford | November 2026

Are you a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on school experience before pursuing a career in teaching, educational psychology, speech and language therapy or child psychology?

We are seeking enthusiastic and resilient graduates to join an Outstanding school in Rochford as a SEND Teaching Assistant from November, supporting children with autism, ADHD and SEMH needs. Trial days are taking place ASAP.

About this SEND Teaching Assistant role

Join a highly supportive and inclusive school in Rochford with excellent transport links via the Central Line.

  • Gain valuable school-based experience supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD and SEMH.
  • Work closely with experienced SEND professionals including Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists and SENDCOs.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support in both mainstream and specialist classroom settings.
  • Excellent opportunity for graduates considering careers in education, psychology, therapy or social care.

We are looking for graduates who

  • Have experience working with children or young people through tutoring, mentoring, youth work, coaching, care or voluntary work.
  • Are patient, proactive and passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
  • Want to build long-term experience within a school environment.
  • Can commit full-time from November and are available to trial immediately.
