Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Discover yourself in Lewisham where what you do makes a difference to our vibrant and culturally diverse communities!

We have a rich history of welcoming people from all over the world and are proud to be recognised as the UK’s first Borough of Sanctuary, for our work in championing the rights of refugees and migrants.

Introduction

Are you passionate about advocating for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and ensuring that they are heard and supported? We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and motivated individual to join our team as a SEND Teaching Assistant Apprentice.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification while developing practical experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a welcoming and inclusive school environment. Working alongside experienced teachers and teaching assistants, you will learn how to provide high-quality support that enables every child to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

What's the role?

  • To be a member of a professional team led by a team leader/class teacher/senior leadership team to provide quality care and education which fosters children’s all round development.
  • To provide a welcoming and supportive atmosphere to parents, carers and families.
  • To promote the ethos of Kender Primary School.
  • To share responsibility for identifying personal professional development needs and to undertake appropriate training according to the priorities of Kender Primary School as identified in the School Development Plan.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
