This is a potential Temp-to-Perm role, starting ASAP at a Secondary SEND school in Bury.

Hours

Full time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm.

Contract

Temp-to-Perm - potential to move onto contract at school.

Excellent pay

£100-115/day DOE for first 12 weeks - paid PAYE direct via Cover People. We don't use umbrella companies!

What You'll Do

  • Supporting a range of children with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and Communication Needs.
  • You will need to look out for triggers and employ preventative strategies and de-escalation techniques to help manage their behaviour so that pupils can focus on learning and the teacher can focus on delivery.
  • Tailored support in lessons, breaking down instructions and tasks so they are easily understood and the pupil feels they are achievable.
  • At times you may be required to support the rest of the class or others.
  • Providing lots of encouragement and positive reinforcement.
  • Working closely with the teacher, management, support staff, parents and outside professionals.
  • Contribute to a safe, positive, inclusive and collaborative work environment.

Requirements

  • CV with full history from education to present.
  • Right to Work & Proof of Address in the UK.
  • DBS certificate on the Update Service (or be happy to apply for a new one).
  • Min of 2 professional references.
  • Overseas Police Check if applicable.
  • Some experience supporting primary aged children with behaviour needs.
