Astley CE Primary School is looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and committed Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team. We are a small, rural Church of England primary school where children are known as individuals, and relationships are at the heart of school life.

You will work as part of our dedicated team to support pupils across the school, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. The role will involve working with individuals and groups, supporting high-quality learning, delivering interventions, helping pupils to overcome barriers to learning, and promoting their confidence and independence. You will work closely with class teachers and other colleagues to ensure that every child is supported to achieve their potential.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about educating and supporting the whole child. You will be joining a supportive and collaborative staff team where professional development is actively encouraged. Our latest Ofsted inspection in May 2026 judged Inclusion to be at the Strong standard, recognizing our highly inclusive culture and the well-targeted support provided to pupils. Ofsted also found that staff feel valued and supported and benefit from an effective programme of professional learning.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
