Are you someone who naturally brings calm, patience and consistency to your work? Do you enjoy building strong, trusting relationships with children? A supportive primary setting in Morden is looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work one-to-one with a 7-year-old pupil with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
There is no personal care involved, but you will need to feel confident supporting a primary-aged child who benefits from structure, reassurance and gentle encouragement throughout the day.
If you're someone who notices the small details, adapts thoughtfully and genuinely cares about helping children feel safe and understood, this role could be a great fit.
What Will You Be Doing Each Day?

- Building a positive relationship that helps the child feel secure and confident
- Supporting communication, emotional regulation and social interaction
- Encouraging independence and celebrating small steps of progress

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
