Flexzo Teach | SEND Tutor (Key Stage 1) (In-Person)

Exciting SEND tutoring opportunities in your area with a leading specialist education provider.

Flexzo Teach connects exceptional educators directly with local specialist provisions for tailored 1:1 roles. We are currently looking for a confident, independent SEND tutor with extensive experience to provide one-to-one support for a young Key Stage 1 learner with communication and sensory needs in Birmingham (B18). This role is part of an ongoing programme working in a job-share structure alongside another tutor to ensure seamless, consistent care for the student.

Why you’ll love it:

  • Fixed-term contract until April, working Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:30am to 12:30pm (term-time only).
  • Partner with a co-tutor who covers the remaining three days of the week to deliver cohesive, personalised support.
  • Potential to expand into two full days per week across additional student placements for the right candidate.
  • Make a direct, meaningful difference in helping a young learner navigate their classroom environment and sensory/communication needs.

What you need:

  • Extensive practical experience providing 1:1 SEND support, specifically for primary-aged learners (KS1) with communication and sensory needs.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dedicated two-person team around one student.
  • Expertise in adapting learning to individual regulation and sensory profiles.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
