A global integrated marketing agency with heritage in influencer marketing is hiring a Client Director to lead strategic relationships with major lifestyle and consumer brand accounts, with a clear mandate to grow them commercially.
This isn't a caretaker role. You'll take full ownership of your book of accounts and be measured on how much you grow them, not just how well you maintain them. You'll shape campaign strategy across influencer, social, content and experiential, but the real remit is spotting where each account can go next, driving expansion of scope, retainers and project pipeline, and holding the commercial conversations that turn strong relationships into bigger ones.
Role: Client Director
Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 + OTE
Location: London (Liverpool Street), hybrid, 3 days per week on site
What you'll be doing:
- Own senior client relationships across a portfolio of key brand accounts and act as the strategic lead across each
- Actively grow accounts commercially: identify new workstreams, expand scope, drive incremental project revenue and evolve retainers upwards
- Build account growth plans that map short-term campaigns to longer-term commercial opportunity, tracked against clear revenue targets
- Take a holistic view across influencer, social, digital content and experiential activity rather than defending a single channel
- Lead the commercial conversations that unlock expansion, including scope changes, upsells, additional retainers and new SOWs
- Shape campaign direction alongside internal creative, production and strategy teams, protecting quality end to end
- Manage budgets, timelines and performance reporting across multiple accounts and campaigns
- Ensure campaigns deliver measurable results tied to brand objectives, and use that evidence to unlock the next piece of work
- Spot risk of account contraction early and build the plan to counter it
- Feed forecasted account growth into wider agency planning and resourcing

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
