The opportunity
We are supporting an established UK IT and communications provider with the appointment of a Business Development Director for its mobile division. The business already supports approximately 1,500 customers, including around 500 enterprise accounts. This gives you an immediate customer base to approach with mobile services, alongside the freedom to develop and win your own new-logo opportunities.
You will focus primarily on organisations with 300 or more users, helping customers improve how they manage mobile connectivity, devices, security and wider mobility requirements.
The company partners with the major UK mobile networks and technology vendors across mobile connectivity, Mobile Device Management, mobile security and IoT.
You will join an existing mobile team containing a Business Development Director, a renewals-focused Account Manager and three Desk Based Account Managers responsible for day-to-day customer relationships. Support is also available from an internal SDR and lead-generation team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
