Senior Account Executive - Defence
London | Hybrid – 2 days per week
£80,000–£100,000 base salary + OTE

GroTech Search is partnering with a fast-growing UK AI technology company to appoint a Mission Partner focused on the Maritime, Air, and Space defence domains.
The company develops advanced AI and information-intelligence technology that helps defence and national-security organisations analyse complex data, identify emerging threats, and make faster, better-informed decisions.
The Role
This is a senior, full-cycle sales role responsible for building and converting opportunities across the Royal Navy, RAF, UK Space Command, DE&S, Dstl, and the defence industrial base.
You will combine enterprise sales expertise with a strong understanding of the UK defence environment. Working closely with senior customer stakeholders, you will identify strategic operational requirements and position AI-driven technology against use cases including ISTAR, situational awareness, and information advantage.
Your Responsibilities
- Developing and executing a full-cycle sales strategy across Maritime, Air, and Space accounts
- Winning new customers and expanding existing relationships
- Building a balanced pipeline against quarterly and annual revenue targets
- Navigating complex decision-making processes, budget cycles, and procurement routes
- Building relationships across Navy Command, the RAF, UK Space Command, DE&S, Dstl, and defence primes
- Positioning complex AI, machine-learning, and software solutions against operational requirements
- Working with product and technical teams to shape solutions and influence the product roadmap
- Developing strategic partnerships with defence primes and systems integrators
- Representing the business at relevant industry events
- Potentially supporting future opportunities across NATO and European defence organisations

What We’re Looking For
- A strong track record of selling enterprise software, SaaS, data, or AI solutions into UK Defence
- Deep knowledge of the Maritime, Air, and/or Space defence domains
- Existing relationships across relevant Front Line Commands, defence organisations, or major primes
- Experience navigating DE&S, Dstl, DASA, and other UK defence commercial routes
- Evidence of originating and closing complex new-business opportunities
- Understanding of technology deployment and integration within defence platforms and operational environments
- Experience managing long, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles
- Familiarity with MEDDIC, MEDDPICC, or a comparable enterprise sales methodology
- Strong written, verbal, and stakeholder-management skills
- The ability to work effectively within a fast-moving scale-up environment
- An existing SC or DV clearance would be highly advantageous. Candidates must, at minimum, meet the requirements to obtain UK security clearance.

The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join an established commercial team and sell genuinely differentiated AI technology into some of the UK’s most strategically important defence organisations.
You will report directly to the CRO and have significant ownership over the development of the Maritime, Air, and Space market.
The position offers a base salary of £80,000–£100,000 plus OTE. It is hybrid, with an expectation of spending two days per week in the London office.
Travel to UK customer sites will also be required.
