This is a quota-carrying individual contributor role requiring executive presence, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to lead through influence across matrixed organizations.
Primary Responsibilities:

- Establish comprehensive stakeholder maps across business, operations, security, infrastructure, networking, cloud, architecture, risk, compliance, procurement, and executive functions.
- Build and maintain executive sponsorship programs that strengthen strategic alignment between F5 and customer leadership teams.
- Act as a trusted business advisor by developing a deep understanding of customer objectives, industry challenges, market pressures, and competitive dynamics.
- Identify opportunities where F5 can create measurable business value beyond immediate product requirements.
- Drive customer success and long-term relationship growth through proactive engagement and outcome-focused account management.
- Create and maintain relationships with senior decision-makers including CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, Heads of Infrastructure, Chief Architects, Operations Executives, Risk Leaders, and line-of-business executives.
- Facilitate executive-to-executive engagement programs, business reviews, innovation workshops, and strategic planning sessions.
- Communicate business value effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Lead coordinated engagement with strategic VARs, Systems Integrators, Cloud Providers, Service Providers, and Technology Partners to expand influence and accelerate opportunities.
- Develop joint account strategies with partners that support customer transformation initiatives and deliver mutual business outcomes.
- Lead virtual account teams across Sales, Solution Engineering, Customer Success, Professional Services, Product Management, Marketing, and Executive Leadership.
- Mentor peers and share best practices to improve team effectiveness, account management excellence, and customer engagement strategies.
- Serve as a role model for account planning, executive engagement, pipeline development, and opportunity management.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
