About the Team & Opportunity
Clever is seeking a Senior International Account Executive to spearhead our expansion in the UK Education market. Building on existing customer partnerships and reseller relationships, you will develop new business across multi-academy trusts, school groups, individual schools and other education organisations. You will help IT and education leaders address challenges around identity management, secure access, student authentication and rostering.
Reporting to the Director of International Markets, you will join an international team with colleagues covering Canada and Australia. You will own the UK sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through to negotiation and close, working closely with partners and colleagues across Marketing, Product, Solutions and Customer Success. This is an opportunity for a commercially driven, technically curious seller who understands how to build trust, navigate complex buying decisions and turn customer needs into successful partnerships.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Deliver UK revenue growth: Own your sales target, developing new customer partnerships and identifying expansion opportunities in coordination with account and customer success teams.
- Build a healthy pipeline: Develop a focused territory plan and generate opportunities through direct outreach, referrals, partners, campaigns and events.
- Engage the right stakeholders: Build relationships with IT directors, trust leaders, finance teams, procurement stakeholders and school decision-makers.
- Lead consultative sales conversations: Understand customers’ identity, access and security challenges and connect them to relevant Clever solutions.
- Manage complex opportunities: Establish clear buying processes, budgets, decision criteria and timelines. Coordinate technical evaluations, pilots and tender responses with internal specialists.
- Grow through partners: Work with resellers, technology partners and education networks on joint account development and customer introductions.
- Represent Clever in the UK: Participate in relevant education and technology events, customer meetings and partner activities.
- Bring market insight into Clever: Share customer feedback, competitive insights and product requirements to help strengthen our UK proposition.
- Maintain commercial discipline: Keep Salesforce current, provide realistic forecasts and proactively address risks to deal progression.
- Support a successful handover: Agree to customer expectations and coordinate a clear transition to implementation and Customer Success following signature.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
