Account Executive / Senior Account Executive
London | Hybrid
IRIS is a global integrated agency driven by one simple philosophy: Participate or Perish. We create ideas that earn attention and inspire people to interact with brands in meaningful ways. Working with some of the world’s most ambitious brands, we combine strategy, creativity, technology, and media to deliver impactful campaigns.
We’re looking for an Account Executive / Senior Account Executive to join our Client Leadership team: someone who brings energy, curiosity and a genuine hunger to learn, with a passion for brilliant work and a desire to build their career in an integrated agency environment.
If you’re coming from a PR agency background and are looking to move into a more integrated environment, this could be a great opportunity to broaden your experience and work across disciplines, bringing your understanding of press, social, culture and audiences into bigger, more connected campaigns.
The role
As an Account Executive / Senior Account Executive, you’ll be the eyes, ears and engine room of your accounts, helping keep projects moving, teams informed and clients confident.
You’ll be naturally curious and keen to understand the world around your clients: their category, competitors, consumers, culture and the conversations shaping people’s lives. You’ll ask the right questions, bring your own point of view and use what you learn to help make the work better.
This is a role for someone who wants to develop into an exceptional account person while working in an environment where PR, social, creative, strategy, technology and media come together.
What you’ll be doing
- Own your workload: plan, prioritise and protect your deadlines, communicating clearly and early when something shifts
- Keep teams connected: create sharp, accurate contact reports, status updates and briefs that keep clients and colleagues informed without wasting their time
- Interrogate the brief: ask questions, flag gaps and surface ambiguities so the team is solving the right problem from the start
- Know your client’s world: become genuinely knowledgeable about their category, competitors and consumers, while staying close to what is happening across culture, press and social
- Bring curiosity to the work: keep your finger on the pulse of the conversations, behaviours and trends that matter to your clients and their audiences
- Embrace technology: actively experiment with AI, emerging platforms and new ways of working to make your output sharper, faster and more creative
- Manage the detail: raise accurate estimates, track hours, flag over-servicing early and support timely invoicing across your projects
- Bring a point of view: contribute in creative and strategic reviews by offering a reaction, question or idea rather than simply observing
- Support account growth: work with your wider team to identify opportunities to grow income or expand scope as you develop your commercial understanding
- Get involved beyond your accounts: contribute to pitches, culture initiatives, training and other cross-agency opportunities to make your mark across IRIS
- Be a great team player: show up with energy, hold yourself to high standards and contribute to making IRIS a brilliant place to work

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
