Senior Account Executive
Reputation, Crisis & Issues Management
Salary: £27,000 - £31,000
Hybrid: 2 days per week in the office
A mid-sized reputation, crisis and issues management agency are looking for a Senior Account Executive to join their growing team. This is a role for someone who thrives under pressure, writes well, and wants to build a career advising organisations and individuals through their most consequential moments.
The ideal Senior Account Executive will be:
- A journalist, PR or communications professional with 1-3 years' agency or in-house experience, ideally with some exposure to corporate, financial, litigation or reputation-focused work
- Calm and clear-headed under pressure, comfortable working to tight and unpredictable deadlines, including out of hours when a situation demands it
- An excellent writer, able to turn complex or technical information into clear statements
- Strong at media and stakeholder monitoring
- Discreet and trustworthy, with sound judgement when handling highly confidential client information
- A confident communicator, able to support senior colleagues in client meetings and begin building direct client relationships of their own
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail across research, drafting and account administration

Primary duties and capabilities of the Senior Account Executive:
- Supporting client teams on live crisis, litigation, and issues management mandates, including out-of-hours monitoring where required
- Conducting rapid research and analysis on emerging issues, media coverage, and stakeholder sentiment
- Monitoring traditional and social media for client-relevant developments and escalating risks appropriately
- Supporting new business research and credentials documents
- Contributing to scenario planning, simulation exercises and preparedness materials for clients
- Managing account administration, including status reports, timelines and meeting notes

Core knowledge:
- Strong understanding of the UK media landscape, and ideally some exposure to international media dynamics
- Ideally client services expertise
- Working knowledge of how reputational, legal and regulatory risk intersect in a crisis
- Familiarity with media and social monitoring tools
- Sound grasp of confidentiality, legal privilege and information security considerations in sensitive client work
