I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

What You’ll Do
- Own and drive complex new-business sales cycles from initial discovery through commercial negotiation, procurement, and close.
- Proactively create and build high-quality pipeline across strategic UK mid-market and enterprise fashion and lifestyle accounts, combining targeted outbound with partner and inbound opportunities.
- Conduct executive-level discovery to map client priorities, technology landscapes, and operational bottlenecks across e-commerce, tech, finance, and C-suite stakeholders.
- Formulate clear account strategies, stakeholder maps, and mutual action plans to align complex buying committees.
- Build compelling, ROI-driven business cases that translate customer pain points into actionable transformation projects.
- Orchestrate cross-functional internal resources and leverage Centra leadership at strategic touchpoints to maintain deal momentum.
- Maintain pipeline discipline, accurate forecasting, and deal health tracking while actively contributing to raising the bar for Centra's overall sales execution.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven Track Record: Solid background owning and closing complex B2B SaaS or enterprise technology deals with long, multi-stakeholder buying cycles.
- Market Expertise: Strong understanding of the UK market with experience selling into mid-market and enterprise organizations. Background in e-commerce, retail tech, fashion, ERP, OMS, PIM, or payments is a major plus.
- Consultative Selling: Outstanding discovery skills with the ability to move confidently between strategic business conversations and detailed technical and operational discussions.
- Proactive Ownership: A self-starter approach to pipeline generation, account mapping, and deal navigation - you run sales processes rather than letting them run you.
- Executive Presence: Strong commercial acumen and executive-level negotiation skills, backed by exceptional written and verbal English communication.
