Hykell Account Executive
Hykell helps companies reduce AWS costs by continuously managing their cloud commitments. We work with customers who have substantial AWS spend and want better savings without adding work for their engineering teams.
We’re hiring a Senior Account Executive to own new customer sales from first conversation to signed agreement. You’ll generate your own opportunities, work leads developed by our BDRs, run discovery, build the business case, and close deals.
This is a key hire. You’ll work closely with Hykell’s founders, have a direct say in how we develop our sales approach, and have the freedom to pursue opportunities you believe in. You’ll be accountable for the results.
What you’ll do
- Build and manage a pipeline of companies with significant AWS spend, primarily across Europe.
- Prospect directly and turn BDR generated leads into qualified opportunities.
- Speak with cloud, engineering, FinOps, and finance leaders to understand their current AWS costs and commitment strategy.
- Show customers where Hykell can deliver additional savings and guide them through evaluation, commercial discussions, and closing.
- Bring customer and market feedback directly to the founders to help shape our positioning and priorities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- The ability to create your own pipeline and move deals forward without a prescribed playbook (even though we have one).
