This is a full-time permanent role and our current hybrid working arrangement is two days from home. Our office is located in Kings Cross.
Summary of the role
The Senior Account Executive takes ownership for specific aspects of account projects, taking responsibility for the tactical implementation of the healthcare communications programme. You will continue to refine and enhance your PR skills, taking on the daily management of projects, coaching and delegating to more junior members of the team, and helping to manage their workloads. You will need to be confident in your own capabilities and begin to take ownership in driving specific client activities.

What you can expect to be doing:
- Consolidating your writing skills, preparing key press materials, correspondence and client information, and drafting elements of more complex written materials such as proposals, while overseeing electronic and hard copy referencing; identifying news hooks and developing storylines for press releases
- Participating and contributing to the generation of creative ideas and platforms, and generating content for different platforms and audiences, including medical, media, client and social
- Demonstrating sound knowledge of media, social media and advocacy to clients when required, taking a key supporting role in developing media strategies, and overseeing media outreach from start to finish
- Building and maintaining relationships with journalists and clients, becoming a key contact for both, and building a portfolio of press contacts across all media to achieve targeted coverage
- Supporting and monitoring the written materials of Account Assistants and Account Executives, advising on areas of development and improvement, ensuring deadlines are met, and helping them strengthen their media monitoring skills
- Managing your time effectively, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines, and taking ownership and accountability for individual projects or elements of account activity, including contributing to proposals, timelines and budgets and managing implementation through to final delivery
- Preparing forms to open client project codes and supplier purchase orders, assisting with budget management by ensuring costs are accurately captured, and taking responsibility for basic financial elements of client accounts such as budgeting, time management and cost controls
- Building and managing supplier relationships, such as with designers and film production agencies, and overseeing the development of coverage and evaluation reports
- Assisting with new business opportunities at the research, preparation and pitch stages, and increasingly contributing to planning and brainstorm meetings, developing strategic thinking and creative tactical proposals
- Liaising with clients and offering advice where necessary, becoming a regular point of contact, and preparing for and presenting in client meetings as appropriate

- Excellent project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective coaching skills
- A good knowledge of the pharma, healthcare and media environments
- A minimum of 12 months experience at Account Executive level within a comparable industry
- A degree or are of graduate calibre
- A team player mindset, along with being reliable, diligent, organised, approachable, enthusiastic and resilient, with a challenging and forward-thinking approach
