Senior Account Executive (m/w/d) - Automotive
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Account Executive (m/w/d) - Automotive based in United Kingdom.
This role offers the opportunity to drive strategic growth within the automotive technology ecosystem by helping leading organizations transform their engineering and product development processes.
You will build relationships with automotive manufacturers, Tier 1 suppliers, and engineering leaders across Europe and selected international markets.
The position combines enterprise sales expertise, industry knowledge, and consultative engagement to support complex digital transformation initiatives.
You will act as a trusted advisor, guiding customers through strategic technology decisions and long-term innovation journeys.
Working in a global and collaborative environment, you will influence business growth while partnering with technical and executive stakeholders.

Accountabilities:
- As a Senior Account Executive, you will be responsible for expanding market presence, developing strategic customer relationships, and driving enterprise sales opportunities within the automotive engineering ecosystem.
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, engineering service providers, and technology partners across assigned markets.
- Identify, qualify, and advance high-value sales opportunities through a combination of inbound engagement and targeted outbound strategies.
- Engage with engineering, product development, IT, digital transformation, and executive stakeholders to understand business challenges and technology needs.
- Position enterprise solutions effectively by communicating business value, technical differentiation, and strategic impact.
- Create and execute account strategies to expand customer adoption and build long-term partnerships.
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles from discovery through negotiation and closing.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers by providing industry insights and guiding digital engineering transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful customer engagement and alignment throughout the sales process.
- Drive pipeline growth while maintaining accurate forecasting, opportunity management, and account planning practices.

Requirements:
- The ideal candidate is an experienced enterprise sales professional with strong automotive industry knowledge, a consultative approach, and the ability to manage complex technology sales cycles.
- Proven success selling complex enterprise software or engineering technology solutions to automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, or organizations within the automotive engineering ecosystem.
- Strong professional network and established relationships within the automotive engineering, software, or digital transformation landscape.
- Deep understanding of requirements management, systems engineering, ALM, PLM, digital engineering, or similar enterprise technology platforms.
- Experience applying consultative and value-based sales methodologies to engage executive stakeholders and support strategic technology initiatives.
- Ability to manage long sales cycles involving multiple decision-makers and complex organizational structures.
- Professional fluency in English is required; additional European languages, particularly German for relevant markets, are highly valued.
- Strong business development skills with the ability to identify opportunities, build relationships, and grow strategic accounts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Growth mindset with curiosity, adaptability, and commitment to continuous learning.
