About the Opportunity
Ellucian is looking for an experienced Senior Account Executive to help higher education institutions across the United Kingdom and Ireland transform how they serve students and staff.
In this role, you will partner with universities to understand their strategic priorities and guide complex digital and business transformation initiatives using Ellucian Student alongside our wider SaaS portfolio. You'll build trusted executive relationships, navigate complex procurement processes, and deliver solutions that create lasting value for our customers.

Where you will make an impact
- Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to grow Ellucian's presence across the UK and Ireland higher education market.
- Build trusted relationships with university leaders and key stakeholders, understanding their priorities and aligning Ellucian solutions to their institutional goals.
- Lead complex enterprise sales opportunities from discovery through contract signature, coordinating internal and customer stakeholders throughout the sales process.
- Position Ellucian Student as the core platform while identifying opportunities to deliver value through Ellucian's broader portfolio of solutions and services.
- Develop compelling business cases and value propositions that demonstrate measurable outcomes, operational improvements, and long-term customer value.
- Work collaboratively with Solution Consulting, Professional Services, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product teams to deliver an outstanding buying experience.
- Maintain a healthy pipeline, provide accurate forecasting, and consistently achieve or exceed sales objectives.
- Represent Ellucian at customer meetings, sector events, and industry conferences, strengthening relationships across the higher education community.
What you will bring
- A strong track record of success selling complex enterprise SaaS or technology solutions.
- Experience managing consultative sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and executive decision-makers.
- The ability to build credibility and lasting relationships with senior leaders across customer organisations.
- Commercial acumen with experience developing business cases, leading negotiations, and managing complex opportunities.
- A consultative, customer-focused approach that prioritises understanding customer challenges before proposing solutions.
- Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams to deliver successful customer outcomes.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex business and technology concepts.
- A disciplined approach to pipeline management, forecasting, and account planning using CRM tools.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a continuous learning mindset in a fast-moving SaaS environment.
- Willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland as required.
