About MarketMan

MarketMan is a PE-backed vertical SaaS business that runs the back of house for restaurant operators, covering inventory, purchasing, invoicing, recipe costing, and COGS in one system. More than 15,000 restaurants worldwide run on MarketMan, from independent single-site operators to multi-unit hospitality groups, typically cutting food costs 3 to 5% and reclaiming around 100 hours a month otherwise lost to manual work.

The Role

You'll spend roughly 70% of your time selling MarketMan directly into UK restaurants and hospitality groups, running full cycle sales on both inbound and self-sourced new-logo business, and 30% building and running the UK partner ecosystem that feeds it. You're accountable to one blended attainment number covering direct plus partner-sourced new business, and both motions are measured.

MarketMan has a robust partner ecosystem, with strong relationships across POS, payments, platforms, resellers, and agencies serving UK hospitality. Your job is to grow existing partnerships, re-engage the partners worth reviving and sign the ones we're missing. Then hold them to something real: joint plans, agreed pipeline targets, and a clear exit for partners who don't produce.

You'll carry a bag and set strategy at the same time. MarketMan is well established in the UK and your job is to accelerate it. You'll operate independently from day one and own how the UK partner channel gets rebuilt. As the business scales, the path from here is running MarketMan UK and building the team under you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We hire operators who get it done. You'll inherit warm leads and receive inbound, but inbound won't carry your number, so you'll prospect and self-source the rest. You'll set your own priorities without a manager doing it for you.

What you'll own

  • A direct new-business quota. Full cycle from first touch to close with UK restaurant and hospitality operators. You sell on quantified impact to food cost, margin, and the hours their team gets back.
  • Partner re-engagement and recruitment. Rebuild our strongest historical partnerships and sign the POS, payments, platform, reseller, and agency partners we're missing. Enable both to position and co-sell MarketMan.
  • Partner-sourced pipeline and bookings. You co-sell on partner-originated deals and hold the channel accountable for what it produces.
  • UK GTM ownership. You decide how MarketMan grows in-region, borrowing what works from the global partner team and sending what you learn back.
  • A clean forecast. Your pipeline and partner activity live in Salesforce, and your call is one leadership can bank.
  • Our presence in the market. You're the face of MarketMan at the UK shows and partner events worth attending.

What you bring

  • A proven closer. You've carried a direct new-business SaaS quota and hit it, repeatedly. This role does not work for a partnerships generalist who can't sell.
  • A channel builder. You've stood up, rebuilt, or grown a partner motion into meaningful pipeline. Bonus if it was a POS, payments, or platform ecosystem.
  • Ability to self manage to successful results. You set your own priorities against the number and move without being managed. You've built something from a standing start before and want to do it again.
  • Range. You can run a direct sales cycle and a partner co-sell in the same week without dropping either.
  • UK market credibility in hospitality or foodservice tech (preferred), or a demonstrated ability to ramp into a vertical fast.
  • 3+ years of experience in software sales (B2B)
  • Experience working in a global, matrixed environment across multiple time zones
  • Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of an organization
