The Role
As a Senior Account Executive within our major clients professional indemnity team, you will take ownership of a portfolio of mid to large retail clients across professional services, including accountants, lawyers and global miscellaneous PI risks. The role is primarily client-facing, with some interaction with the market, and is focused on delivering strong client outcomes while supporting the continued growth of the team’s book of business.
What you’ll be doing
- Manage a portfolio of professional indemnity clients, delivering day-to-day servicing, renewals and mid-term adjustments
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as a trusted point of contact
- Identify and develop opportunities to grow the existing book, maintaining a consistent pipeline of new business
- Engage proactively with clients and placing brokers to understand requirements and deliver appropriate solutions
- Review and assess client documentation to ensure it is accurate and supports the quoting process
- Structure and present risks effectively to market, ensuring clear and comprehensive submissions
- Produce high quality market documentation, securing appropriate internal and external approvals
- Negotiate with insurers to achieve suitable cover, terms and pricing for clients
- Support the delivery of placements across professional services risks, including complex and global exposures
- Ensure all activity is delivered in line with regulatory and internal standards
- Manage competing priorities effectively, maintaining accuracy and service delivery in a fast-moving environment
- Contribute to the wider success of the team by supporting collaboration and sharing market insight

Who we’re looking for
- Proven experience managing professional indemnity risks within the insurance market, ideally 5+ years
- Experience working with mid to large corporate or retail clients within professional services sectors
- Strong track record of handling renewals, mid-term adjustments and new business development
- Experience engaging directly with clients and building long-term relationships
- Knowledge of the PI market, including insurers, competitors and key territories
- Experience preparing and presenting risks to the market and negotiating terms
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate work under pressure
- Experience operating in a client-facing role with some exposure to insurer engagement
Qualifications
- Cert CII or progress towards ACII is desirable
- Experience within professional indemnity insurance is essential
- Strong written and verbal English, with the ability to communicate information clearly
- Good numeracy skills, with confidence working with pricing and financial information
