Senior Account Executive

The Opportunity:
Our client is an established and growing medical communications agency seeking a talented Senior Account Executive to join their client services team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in a medical communications or medical education agency who is looking to take the next step in their career.

The Senior Account Executive plays a key role in the day-to-day delivery of client accounts and projects, acting as the operational engine behind successful medical education programmes. The successful candidate will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standard. This position offers a clear pathway to Account Manager for the right individual within the next 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day management of pharmaceutical client accounts.
  • Coordinate the delivery of a range of medical education projects from initiation through to completion.
  • Develop strong working relationships with clients, healthcare professionals and internal colleagues.
  • Prepare project timelines, status reports, meeting agendas and contact reports.
  • Manage project budgets, invoicing and financial tracking.
  • Liaise with scientific, creative and production teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently.
  • Attend client meetings and manage follow-up actions.
  • Proactively identify project risks and implement solutions to maintain delivery.
  • Support senior account teams with business development activities where appropriate.
  • Provide guidance and support to more junior members of the team.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working within a medical communications or medical education agency.
  • Previous experience in an Account Executive or Senior Account Executive role.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • Commercial awareness and experience managing project budgets.
  • A genuine interest in healthcare and medical education.
