Role Overview
As part of a dedicated account team, you’ll be a trusted day-to-day point of contact, helping to connect the customer with the Strategic Account Manager and wider operational teams. You’ll take ownership of coordinating activity across the account, making sure customer needs are understood, commitments are followed through and the service we provide consistently meets expectations.
You’ll build strong working relationships across Billing, Metering, Customer Service, Onboarding and other operational teams, bringing people together to resolve issues, keep actions moving and make sure nothing gets missed. You’ll also provide clear oversight of account activity through effective reporting, action management and regular communication.
Above all, you’ll help create a positive, seamless experience for the customer - building trust, anticipating their needs and making sure they feel supported at every stage of their relationship with SmartestEnergy.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Strategic Account Manager in the delivery of the overall account plan and customer strategy.
- Act as the day-to-day operational contact for the account, coordinating activity across multiple internal teams.
- Build strong relationships with operational teams to ensure customer requirements are understood and delivered.
- Manage customer queries, requests and escalations, ensuring timely resolution and communication.
- Produce and coordinate regular customer reporting and account updates.
- Track operational performance, action plans and service commitments, escalating risks where required.
- Support customer governance meetings, maintaining actions, reporting and follow-up activities.
- Maintain accurate customer data and account records across relevant systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.

Skills/Experience Required
- Experience supporting customer accounts in a customer-facing or operational environment.
- Experience coordinating activity across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Experience managing customer queries, reporting and issue resolution.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.

Hybrid Working
Hybrid working typically means 2 days in the office location listed on this advert and 3 days working at home each week. Some occasional travel to our other offices may be required.
