Senior Account Executive – Medical Communications

Manchester / Macclesfield / London / Hybrid

The opportunity

Are you looking for a Senior Account Executive role that will give you exposure to the full breadth of medical communications?

We're looking for an Senior Account Executive to join Ashfield MedComms, working across an exciting mix of publications and Medical Affairs programmes.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has built a foundation in medical communications and is ready to broaden their experience. You'll have the chance to develop across a varied portfolio of projects and build your career and experience.

You'll join a collaborative team where you'll work closely with experienced client services and scientific colleagues. You'll have plenty of opportunity to learn, contribute and develop towards the next stage of your career.

What you'll do

As a Senior Account Executive, you will support the delivery of multiple medical communications projects from initiation through to completion. You will:

  • Manage project activities, timelines, trackers and deliverables
  • Work across a broad mix of publications and Medical Affairs projects
  • Support publications including abstracts, posters, manuscripts and congress activities
  • Deliver Medical Affairs initiatives such as advisory boards, scientific meetings, medical education and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Be an important contact for clients and build relationships
  • Coordinate internal scientific, editorial, creative and client services teams
  • Support project budgets, financial tracking and invoicing
  • Identify potential risks or challenges and work with the wider team to find practical solutions
  • Contribute ideas and help to continuously improve how projects are delivered
  • Develop your understanding of client strategy and the wider objectives behind each programme

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience within a medical communications agency or similar healthcare communications environment
  • Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Organisational and project management skills
  • Confidence communicating with clients and team members
  • An understanding of the medical communications project lifecycle
  • Experience in publications and/or Medical Affairs, with an interest in developing across both
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
