Job: Senior Account Handler – Commercial
Location: London office based
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 doe
Our client is a well-established, independent insurance broker with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, tailored insurance solutions to a diverse portfolio of clients.
They are looking to grow the team due to growth, and are therefore looking to appoint an experienced Senior Account Handler to join their specialist Entertainment team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced insurance professional who enjoys working in a close-knit environment and wants to take ownership of a varied portfolio while providing a high level of technical and client service.
The Role
Working closely with Senior Directors of the business, you will play a key role in managing and servicing a portfolio of established clients. You will be responsible for ensuring clients receive a consistently high level of service, while managing renewals, mid-term adjustments, documentation and day-to-day enquiries.

The role will also involve providing technical support to colleagues and working closely with insurers to ensure the successful placement and ongoing management of client programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and negotiate the renewal of key client portfolios, ensuring strong retention and service levels.
- Take ownership of the renewal process from initial preparation through to completion.
- Handle mid-term adjustments and provide technical assistance where required.
- Liaise confidently with clients, insurers and internal stakeholders on a range of insurance matters.
- Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues, acting as a key referral point within the team.
- Support senior management with client advice, technical queries and complex cases.
- Assist with the handling and management of claims, escalating matters where appropriate.
- Ensure documentation is issued accurately and within required timescales.
- Maintain accurate electronic records and ensure client information is kept up to date.
- Handle new business and identify opportunities to develop existing client relationships.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client correspondence and queries.

About You
- Minimum of 10 years insurance experience
- Proven experience within a commercial insurance broker or insurer.
- Strong knowledge across a range of commercial insurance classes.
- Excellent client management and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of organisation.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Open GI experience would be advantageous.
