We are looking for an experienced Senior Account Manager with a strong background in IT sales and VAR environments to join an established technology business. The role will focus on developing existing customer relationships, identifying new commercial opportunities, and increasing revenue across a broad range of technology solutions and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and expand existing accounts by identifying opportunities for additional solutions, services, and technologies.
  • Proactively generate new sales opportunities across a targeted customer base, building relationships with both existing and prospective clients.
  • Take ownership of opportunities throughout the sales cycle, from initial qualification and solution development through to negotiation and account implementation.
  • Partner with internal technical, pre-sales, and operational teams to ensure customer requirements are understood and commercially viable solutions are presented.
  • Take responsibility for account planning, pipeline management, forecasting, and achieving agreed revenue and gross profit targets.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Proven experience in B2B IT sales, gained specifically within a VAR environment.
  • A strong understanding of the IT solutions and services market, with knowledge across areas such as networking, data centre, cyber security, cloud, modern workplace, and end-user technology.
  • A track record of developing customer accounts, generating new business, and delivering against commercial targets.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the confidence to build credibility with technical and senior business stakeholders.
  • A commercially minded and customer-focused approach, together with experience of managing sales pipelines, forecasting, and margin expectations.
  • The flexibility to travel across the UK where required to support customer meetings and business development activity.

The position is offered on a hybrid basis, with regular attendance at company offices and customer locations required. You will work closely with colleagues across sales, pre-sales, technical, and operational functions to develop opportunities and deliver solutions that meet customer requirements.
