We're recruiting for an Account Manager or experienced Senior Account Manager to join one of the UK's leading boutique PR agencies, working with brands and start-ups at the cutting edge of innovation shaping how we live, work and stay well.
Our client partners with ambitious tech start-ups and scale-ups to build brands people care about. Current and former clients include ElevenLabs, Plum, Electric Twin, Flexa, Goodlord, Flok Health, Tiney and Overwatc h.
This is a great opportunity for a PR professional ready to take the next step in their career — with ownership and autonomy over your work, the ability to shape strategies independently, manage junior team members, and play a leading role in driving results for clients from day o ne.
What you'll be doing
- Lead day-to-day management of client accounts, acting as a trusted adviser and primary point of con tact
- Develop and drive PR strategies that deliver meaningful business outcomes. Present plans to senior management and lead on execution and deli very
- Lead client meetings and present monthly/quarterly rep orts
- Generate creative, newsworthy story ideas and see them through from concept to cove rage
- Craft compelling media angles for B2B and B2C brands across national, trade, broadcast and podcast m edia
- Identify trends, insights and data-driven opportunities that can be turned into impactful sto ries
- Write high-quality press releases, thought leadership articles, blogs and other communications mater ials
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, influencers and industry stakehol ders
- Prepare and brief spokespeople for media interviews, speaking engagements and ev ents
- Measure, analyse and report on campaign perform ance
- Manage and mentor junior team members, helping them develop and deliver excellent work
- Support new business activity, including proposals, strategy development and pitc hing

- Proven experience managing PR accounts, building strong client relationships and being the main point of contact for cl ients
- Confidence leading client meetings and communicating with senior stakeholders in person, virtually and via Slack
- Strong strategic instincts and a proven ability to identify stories that will resonate with target media
- Experience securing high-quality coverage, including national media opportun ities
- Excellent news sense and the ability to turn complex topics into clear, engaging st ories
- Strong writing skills across a range of formats and audi ences
- Good understanding of reputational risk and crisis manag ement
- An established network of journalist and industry con tacts
- Experience managing or mentoring junior colle agues
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of what makes accounts successful and clients happy
- Experience contributing to new business proposals and pitching for new bus iness
- Analytical thinking, strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to d etail
- A proactive, ambitious mindset and willingness to take owne rship
