Role Summary:

The Senior Account Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day management and growth of client accounts, ensuring the successful delivery of integrated marketing campaigns that exceed client expectations. The role oversees project delivery, financial management, and account development while building strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver high-quality, profitable work. As a senior member of the Client Services team, the role also provides coaching and support to junior colleagues and champions GOOD Agency’s purpose-led values.

Key Responsibilities

Client Services

  • Senior Account Managers at GOOD Agency are a key part of our Client Service Department.
  • You will be responsible for all projects in your account/s, including managing full account budgets, identifying areas for growth, managing monthly and annual forecasts.
  • Setting high standards, showing diligence, having a keen eye for detail, multitasking, and bringing energy and inspiration to those around you is key.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are essential – ensuring client satisfaction is maintained throughout a project, understanding their pressures.

Business Development (New and Existing Clients)

  • Our SAMs proactively seek and identify organic business development opportunities within existing client portfolios and may also be required to work on pitches outside of their usual client remit.
  • Ensure delivery targets are met and projects are delivered profitably.
  • Involvement in pitches for both new and potential clients.

Project Management

  • Manage projects to ensure that they are delivered on time, within budget, and exceed expectations.
  • Follow process and structure for ensuring clients’ projects are monitored in line with reporting requirements.
  • Communicate your clients’ needs to the Planning and Creative teams, ensuring the written brief is of a high standard.
  • Identify potential issues ahead of time and prevent them from affecting delivery.
  • Coordinate internal and external teams to deliver client work on time and in budget.

Team Support and Administration Responsibilities

  • Manage the account budget, escalating any concerns.
  • Financial management on your accounts, including invoicing, billing schedules, and budget management and forecast updates.
  • Ensure your team understands their role/s in projects, and manage their timesheeting in a timely manner.
  • Manage forecasts monthly and annually.
  • Responsible for coaching and mentoring AEs and support in managing their diaries, workload, prioritization, and administration.

Skills & Knowledge

Skills

  • The Senior Account Manager will have a passion for charities, purpose, and doing good.
  • Understand the sectors we work in and the products we offer.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Project management/highly organized.
  • Relationship management – internally and externally.
  • Ability to manage multiple client projects.

Experience / Qualifications

  • Experience of working in an integrated agency, working on a range of accounts.
  • Direct Marketing.
  • Delivering digital projects and multi-channel campaigns.
  • Candidates will ideally come with charity or purpose background, and have integrated experience working on a range of accounts, with strong direct & integrated marketing skills, including delivering digital projects and multi-channel campaigns end to end.

Good to Know

  • Hybrid working - 3:2 with GOOD's office days being Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with Monday's and Fridays at home.
  • Salary - Up to £45,000
