Senior Account Manager

The Senior Account Manager will be commercially focused, playing a key role in protecting and developing some of our most important customer relationships.

Acting as the principal link between our customers and our internal teams, you’ll combine strategic account management with a hands-on, data led understanding of products, pricing, service delivery and customer needs. Building up relationships with our clients, you will ensure we continue to deliver an excellent and reliable service to our customers.

This opportunity is with Aldens, an established and trusted B-Corp Butcher’s – still a family ran business.

Location: Hybrid - Bicester, Oxfordshire with regular customer travel (predominantly London)

About the Role

  • Managing and developing a significant portfolio of established customer accounts (c. £20 million annual sales)
  • Building trusted relationships with procurement teams, chefs, operational managers and senior stakeholders
  • Creating data-led account plans focused on sales growth, margin, retention and new opportunities, including quarterly pricing reviews and commercial negotiations
  • Identifying opportunities for new product listings and increased customer spend
  • Preparing forecasts, customer presentations and structured business reviews
  • Working with customers on product selection, menu development, seasonal opportunities and costings
  • Supporting tenders, contract renewals and new customer or site launches.
  • Resolving service or ordering issues quickly and ensuring actions are followed through

About You

  • Proven experience in Senior Account Management, Key Account Management – ideally for a food focused organisation
  • Competent in analysing data and ability to make data-led decisions
  • Experience negotiating pricing and commercial terms
  • Good commercial understanding of margin, gross profit, product costing, budgets and forecasting
  • Confidence preparing and delivering customer presentations and business reviews
