Senior Account Manager | Account Management, Renewals & Upsell | Fast-Scaling Payments Platform

Salary: £55,000 to £70,000, depending on level of experience

Location: London, hybrid. 3 to 4 days a week in the office during a three-month probation, then a minimum of one day a week

Around 200 live clients are currently looked after reactively, split between four customer success managers who each juggle 30 to 35 accounts on top of their actual jobs. Nobody owns the commercial relationship once a client goes live. That is the gap you will close.

This is a brand-new role, the first dedicated senior account manager the business has had. You will take on the whole book solo: renewals, upsell and cross-sell, order forms, invoice tracking, stakeholder mapping and quarterly business reviews. You will also run the client reference programme, finding happy customers, taking prospects to meet them on site, and turning those relationships into new business.

The company behind it is a payments and point-of-sale technology business serving the live events and hospitality sector. It is a lean team of under 50, with the commercial functions based in London. It is growing quickly, processes hundreds of millions in payments a year, and is expanding into new markets. You will report straight to the CEO and sit on the commercial side, not in operations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why Join / Projects

You will be the first person to own this function, so you get to shape how it runs rather than inherit someone else's system. With the book already past 200 and climbing, there is a clear path to build a team underneath you as the client base grows.

The platform processes hundreds of millions in payments a year and has serious growth ambitions, backed by institutional investment and expanding into new markets. Senior hires go onto stock options rather than commission, and the current sales cohort is on track to roughly double their base package in payout over three years once options vest against target.

You will also sit close to the CEO from day one, with a direct view of commercial strategy rather than sitting several layers below it.

Employee Benefits

  • Stock options for senior hires
  • A track record of strong annual pay progression, historically 10 to 20% a year
  • Work-from-home options
  • Pension
