Global Account Manager - Data Centre Sector
Location: London
Compensation: €80,000 - €100,000 + 30% Bonus + Company Car/Allowance + Package
Clear. is working with a leading global infrastructure business to recruit a Global Account Manager for its data centre division in EMEA.
This role covers a portfolio of Europe's largest colocation data centre developers. The business already supplies white space solutions, which cover everything inside the data halls: racks, structured cabling, connectivity and containment. The aim of this role is to grow gray space solutions, which cover the systems that power and support the building: electrical distribution, switchgear, busway, cooling, controls, fire safety and security.
You'll be working with customers from the early design stages through to construction, building relationships with their design, engineering and procurement teams, and bringing in technical specialists to win new projects.
Responsibilities
- Own the EMEA account strategy for four to five strategic data centre developer accounts, building and maintaining a multiyear account plan for each.
- Drive new business and demand creation (around 60% of the role), finding and shaping opportunities before formal RFQs or tenders are issued.
- Map each customer's development pipeline, construction strategy, design standards and procurement model, and build stakeholder coverage across functions and countries.
- Engage early with design, engineering, construction, procurement and supply-chain teams to influence specifications and preferred solutions.
- Expand beyond white space into gray-space infrastructure, including MV/LV power, busway, cabling, cooling and liquid cooling, BMS and controls, security, fire and life safety, modular and prefabricated solutions, and logistics services.
- Bring in the right subject matter experts at the right time while keeping commercial ownership of the opportunity.
- Work in partnership with local country sales teams, who manage day-to-day execution, and with US-based global account leaders, turning global customer strategy into EMEA priorities.
- Convert pipeline into defined projects, backlog, revenue and gross margin, staying accountable for results even when transactions run through local entities, contractors or channel partners.
- Lead EMEA framework, preferred-supplier, supply-chain and services agreements, and roll out global agreements across the region.
- Track and report on revenue, margin, pipeline, backlog and category penetration.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- A track record of influencing without authority and delivering results through matrix teams.
- A value-led selling style rather than a product- and price-led one.
