Senior Account Manager – Medical Affairs
Location: London / Hybrid
Are you an experienced Medical Communications professional looking to take the lead on high-impact Medical Affairs programmes for a growing Women's health account?
We're looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our team, supporting an exciting and evolving therapy area where innovation, strategic thinking, and scientific excellence come together. This is an opportunity to partner closely with clients, leading the delivery of impactful medical affairs initiatives that help shape scientific exchange and improve patient outcomes.
With opportunities to partner with clients onsite, this is an exciting role offering both variety and visibility.
What You'll Do
As Senior Account Manager, you'll help drive the delivery of complex medical affairs programmes while building collaborative client relationships.
You will:
- Lead the delivery of strategic medical affairs programmes from planning through execution
- Be a trusted client partner, provide proactive advice, and ensure exceptional service
- Manage a variety of medical affairs deliverables including advisory boards, steering committee meetings, congress activities and symposia
- Oversee the development of scientific slide decks, strategic communication platforms, digital medical education projects, and other medical affairs deliverables
- Coordinate teams including scientific, editorial, creative and digital colleagues to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget
- Manage project timelines, budgets, forecasts and financial performance across multiple workstreams
- Identify risks early and implement practical solutions to keep programmes on track
- Provide leadership and mentor to more junior team members, supporting their growth
- Contribute to account growth by identifying opportunities to expand programmes and strengthen client partnerships
- Support process improvements and share best practice across the wider team

What We're Looking For
You'll bring experience managing complex medical affairs programmes within a medical communications agency and be confident leading client relationships.
You'll have:
- Previous experience in a Medical Communications agency, in a Senior Account Manager or experienced Account Manager role
- Experience delivering Medical Affairs programmes
- Experience managing medical affairs deliverables
- Excellent project and financial management skills, with experience managing budgets and forecasting
- Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with confidence working directly with global pharmaceutical clients
- Experience mentoring and developing junior team members
- A proactive, collaborative approach with a passion for delivering exceptional client service
