Senior Account Manager – Public Sector / Defence

Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 + commission scheme

Location: Central London – 4 days per week in the office

We're looking for a Senior Account Manager to join a growing technology consultancy, helping to develop and expand relationships across the Public Sector and Defence markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow strategic client relationships across Public Sector and Defence.
  • Identify, qualify, and win new business opportunities.
  • Lead client meetings and manage the end-to-end sales process.
  • Work closely with delivery teams to ensure successful client outcomes.
  • Support and contribute to bids, frameworks, and procurement opportunities.
  • Mentor and support junior members of the sales team.

  • 5+ years' experience in account management or business development within a consultancy or professional services environment.
  • Proven experience within the Public Sector or Defence.
  • Strong understanding of Statements of Work (SoWs), delivery models, public sector frameworks, bids, and RFPs.
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive, consultative approach with a track record of winning and growing accounts.
