The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Account Manager to drive new business growth within a rapidly expanding managed services provider specialising in backup, disaster recovery and cyber resilience solutions.

This is a strategic, high-value sales role focused on acquiring new enterprise customers through partner-led engagements. You'll be responsible for developing opportunities, managing complex sales cycles and closing significant six and seven-figure contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities through channel partners, VARs, MSPs and strategic alliances.
  • Build relationships with senior decision-makers across enterprise and mid-market organisations.
  • Develop and execute account strategies to identify, qualify and close high-value opportunities.
  • Lead customer discovery sessions to understand business continuity, backup and cyber recovery requirements.
  • Deliver compelling commercial and technical value propositions alongside pre-sales and solution specialists.
  • Create tailored proposals, commercial models and business cases aligned to customer objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial terms to secure profitable, long-term agreements.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, channel and technical teams to ensure successful customer acquisition and onboarding.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends, competitor activity and evolving cyber resilience challenges.

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

  • Proven track record selling Backup-as-a-Service, Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service or related managed services.
  • Experience working for a VAR, MSP, cloud services provider or technology reseller.
  • Strong new business sales capability with evidence of winning large enterprise accounts.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles and multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to influence C-level and senior IT leadership teams.
  • Commercially astute with excellent negotiation and closing skills.
  • Willingness to travel to partner and vendor offices on a regular basis.

Highly Advantageous

  • Experience selling enterprise data protection, cyber recovery or cloud infrastructure solutions.
  • Strong existing relationships within the UK channel ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of ransomware protection, immutable backup and cyber resilience strategies.
  • Experience of managing opportunities worth £1m+.
