Account Manager / Senior Account Manager: Media Agency
We are looking on behalf of our client, an independent media agency who help their clients take on the big players with larger budgets and win in the face of adversity. They believe it's not about the size of a client's budget, but the scale of their ambition.
For this role a digital background is essential, in particular Meta experience.
Scope of Responsibility
Managing and training junior team members
You will be responsible for managing and training all junior team members on your assigned clients, working collaboratively with your Account Director or Business Director to develop their professional skills. You'll be confident creating processes, setting standards and training juniors in:
- technical knowledge (media planning, buying, research, software and systems)
- client servicing and account handling
- presentation skills (language, personal presentation and body language)
- writing skills (accuracy, concision, tone, grammar, spelling and thorough checking, plus knowing the difference between a proposal designed to read and one designed to be presented)
- administrative and financial excellence
You'll also ensure your reportees understand client terms of business and financial admin requirements for each assigned client, and that workflow is managed in a timely manner so client and administrative deadlines are met. Internally, you'll collaborate and build relationships across teams such as TV Buying, IT and Accounts, as well as with senior directors.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
