We are seeking an Account Manager to join our team on a contract role for MAT cover, working hybrid (3 days in the office: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) at our London office (66 Berners St, London W1T 3NL). B2B experience is ideally required for this role.
About the Role: Financial Services Account Manager
Your role will be to ensure the team delivers outstanding client service and expertise in financial services communications. You will act as a bridge between clients, creative teams, and directors while championing innovative and high-quality solutions.

Core Responsibilities
Day-to-Day Client Collaboration & Delivery
- Be the first point of contact for all clients via phone and email.
- Attend client meetings as required and produce accurate contact reports within 48 hours.
- Implement creative solutions to meet the strategic and creative briefs of clients, including creative brief development and refinement.
- Gateway for quality control: Review and gatekeep all projects before showcasing them to clients as a brand guardian.
- Develop long-term, strong client relationships based on trust and accountability.
- Implement robust planning and control mechanisms—such as clear creative briefs, schedules, and regular status reports—to ensure projects stay on track.
Creative & Operational Coordination
- Ensure collaborative approval processes for all creative work (concepts, artwork, video, digital) before delivery, obtaining sign-off from the Account Director/Group Account Director or Senior Management as applicable.
- Evaluate creative work based on brief alignment and merit, earning respect from the Creative Department to represent and champion client input effectively.
- Transform potential challenges into strategic solutions—approach problems with conceptual thinking and proactive problem-solving, not just concerns.
- Proactively source and cost print and production materials ideally when concepts are first presented.
- Develop accurate cost estimates for digital and video projects while aligning realistic timelines with clients.
Financial Governance & Projections
- Cost projects and maintain a timely purchase process, ensuring monthly projections are updated weekly for directors.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to guarantee on-time delivery of project requirements—from print specifications to final output.
- Support directors in projecting and presenting work to clients, ensuring they are Braded directors are adequately informed on the status of client business.
- Cost project estimates efficiently and collaborating with the Account Director/Group Account Director.

Performance Development & Strategic Growth
Team Leadership
- Guide and manage your Account Executive, identifying their professional training needs.
- Organise and facilitate annual reviews and quarterly check-ins.
- Conduct semi-annual performance reviews (PRP purposes).
New Business Engagement
- Assist the team in developing new business proposals for existing and prospective clients.
- Identify and leverage networking opportunities across the Chime Group, with clients, and industry events.
- Spot and pursue new business opportunities, ensuring VCCP Roar directors are involved as appropriate.
Requirements & Skills

Minimum 4 years of commercial experience, with at least:
- 1 year at Account Manager level.
- Or 3 years as a Marketing Executive within a financial services company’s marketing department.

Proven experience and in-depth understanding of the financial services sector, particularly in client-facing roles.

Strong awareness of digital, design, marketing, production, and agency systems and procedures.

Ability to actively engage, influence, and collaborate at all levels.
