Description
Qatar Airways (QR) have embarked on an exciting transformation journey to change how we interact with our customers. As part of this journey, we are now recruiting for the role of Senior Account Manager - New Business UK and Ireland.
Based in London you will be responsible for the acquisition of new direct corporate business working directly with trade team, client management departments of TMCs and all other relevant sources of corporate leads.
You will add value by developing a successful, consistent approach to local and multinational dealing, driving maximum revenue and minimum cost of sale, gaining maximum value for the airline. You will take ownership of the overall UK corporate pipeline.
Specific Accountabilities include
- Source and covert long-term strategic corporate relationships with new accounts.
- Work directly with client management teams of key trade partners to generate leads from data mining sessions.
- Contribute to the formulation and implementation of QR sales strategy to maximise short and long term revenue opportunities and reduce cost of sale.
- Develop tactical Sales and Marketing activities in support of sales opportunities with both Trade Partners and Corporate market place.
- Represent QR at trade events, promotions and sales functions, including supporting educational and familiarisation visits to maximise lead generation.
- Leverage internal data working closely with the Beyond Business SME team to generate corporate leads for conversion into Local and Global corporate deals.
- Provide regular Market Intelligence and feedback from customers and competitors.

Qualifications
- You will be educated to at least Bachelor’s Degree/ Equivalent along with role related experience ideally within the Aviation/travel industry.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills - Experience negotiating contracts and strong Influencing skills
- Data focused with the ability to spot and interpret market trends.
- PC literate with excellent knowledge of Word/PowerPoint/Excel.
Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential for this role. You must also have the right to live and work in the UK to be considered for this role.
