Senior Account Manager (Consumer)

Boldspace is looking for a talented Senior Account Manager to play a key role in delivering exceptional work for our clients. The ideal candidate will have around 4–6 years' proven agency experience working across consumer brands.

You will have a demonstrable track record of delivering integrated PR programmes, running fast-paced press offices, managing campaigns from concept to execution, and building strong, lasting relationships with media. You'll be an excellent client relationship manager, confident managing day-to-day accounts, supporting junior team members and delivering outstanding work across multiple clients.

You'll have a progressive mindset and be excited about being part of an agency that is seeking to do things differently. You'll be knowledgeable and interested in how data and creativity combined are shaping the future of communications, and understand how the agency of tomorrow must be agile across all channels as the media landscape continues to evolve.

Requirements

The Senior Account Manager will lead the day-to-day running of a number of client accounts, ensuring exceptional delivery, client satisfaction and commercial success. You will work closely with senior leadership while overseeing work from juniors and collaborating with the agency's wider talent across creative, strategy, digital and analytics to deliver outstanding outcomes for clients.

You will:

  • Be the day-to-day lead across a portfolio of client accounts, providing strategic counsel and building trusted client relationships.
  • Run robust, proactive press offices, identifying opportunities and ensuring clients maintain a strong and consistent presence across relevant media.
  • Build and maintain excellent media relationships, leveraging your network and understanding of the media landscape to secure high-quality coverage and opportunities.
  • Manage integrated PR campaigns and brand activations from planning through to execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and against agreed objectives.
  • Manage client service and agency performance, ensuring all output is proactive, insightful, creative and delivered to the highest standard.
  • Lead multiple accounts across different consumer industries.
  • Understand the commercials of agency life, including managing account profitability, utilisation and scopes of work.
  • Support the development of junior team members through coaching, mentoring and constructive feedback.

The Skills We're Looking For

  • Consumer experience: You will have strong experience working with consumer clients in the, and be equally comfortable delivering strategic counsel, managing busy press offices and developing creative campaigns and activations.
  • Media relations expertise: You will have excellent media contacts, outstanding pitching skills and a strong understanding of what makes news across traditional, digital and emerging media.
  • Campaign management: You will have proven experience delivering integrated communications campaigns and activations that generate meaningful business and brand impact.
  • Understanding of the evolving PR landscape: You have a genuine interest in where the communications industry is heading, with an awareness of the changing media landscape, creator and influencer ecosystems, AI, search and emerging disciplines such as Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), and understand how these developments are influencing modern PR strategies.
  • Multi-channel thinking: You understand that PR extends beyond media relations and know how to bring together earned, owned, shared and paid channels to maximise impact.
  • Intelligence and problem solving: You can confidently identify client challenges and provide thoughtful, strategic solutions with minimal direction.
  • Writing: You are a strong writer with the ability to produce high-quality content quickly across multiple formats.
  • Attention to detail: You consistently produce accurate, polished work and maintain exceptionally high standards.
  • Independence: You thrive in a flexible environment and take ownership of your work

Relevant Experience

  • Around 4–6 years' proven agency experience working with consumer clients, bonus points for sport exposure
  • Demonstrable experience running successful press offices and managing integrated PR campaigns and activations.
  • Excellent knowledge of the UK media landscape with established journalist relationships and a strong track record of securing impactful coverage.
  • Experience presenting to clients and confidently explaining PR strategy, activity and results.
  • A strong understanding of the rapidly evolving communications industry, including digital media trends and emerging PR disciplines.
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior team members.
  • Some experience supporting new business and pitches would be advantageous
