About The Role

The Senior Account Manager plays a critical role in the delivery and ongoing management of client insurance programs, ensuring excellent client service, timely renewals and accurate placement of cover in line with client requirements and business strategy. The role is responsible for coordinating a high-level delivery of service to maintain strong client relationships, ensuring compliance and operational performance, and supporting the retention and development of client accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages and independently coordinates renewal and new business documentation (quote, binder, policy, endorsements, invoicing) and compliance activities with and without senior support.
  • Reviews, validates and coordinates these documentation activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Builds and maintains strong insurer relationships and to effectively navigate service excellence.
  • Acts as a trusted contact for client and insurer queries.
  • Contributes to client strategy discussions, supporting renewal planning, retention and growth objectives.
  • Ensures account delivery aligns with client requirements and service expectations.
  • Supports renewal strategy discussions and client retention activities.
  • Takes ownership of invoicing, premium allocation, compliance requirements and account controls.
  • Monitors premium payment warranties and account servicing obligations.
  • Ensures servicing activity is completed in accordance with compliance requirements and agreed standards.
  • Supports audit and governance requirements, ensures compliance requirements are embedded within account management activities and supports audits and controls.

  • Applies technical knowledge to resolve servicing challenges and support client solutions.
  • Provides guidance to less experienced colleagues.
  • Attends monthly Operational meetings and provides an update to team members.
  • Completes accurate monthly budgeting reporting to Operational leadership.
  • Assists with annual budget review through reconciliation of annual transactions.
  • Proactively seeks innovative ways to improve processes and procedures.
  • Contributes to retention and growth opportunities.
  • Responsible for operational performance and adherence to KPIs.
  • Responsible for bad debt performance.

Key Skills

  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of policy placement and renewal processes through the use of Brokasure/PPL/Artificial.
  • Ability to independently manages policy documentation and market/client queries ensuring technical accuracy and quality.
  • Ensures work is completed in line with required servicing standards, controls and client requirements.
  • Has ability to build and/or develop trusted relationships with clients and effectively manages a range of internal stakeholders across the business.
