About us
Hydrogen is the Communications division of The PA. We create high-quality content for the PR and marketing industry, backed by the distribution power of the PA newswire.
Our creative and social teams combine editorial expertise, insight and deep platform knowledge to help organisations connect with their audiences and make an impact.
As part of The PA, we share a wider ambition: to be a beacon of trust for news, content and data. We believe trusted, effective communication can build greater understanding, connection and influence.
About the role
Mediapoint, our media intelligence platform, is part of Hydrogen’s offering.
We’re looking for an experienced and highly organised Senior Account Manager to join our Mediapoint team, managing a varied portfolio of clients and helping them make the most of opportunities across the news agenda.
This is account management with a distinctly editorial edge. You’ll be a senior day-to-day contact for clients, managing their corporate commentary and working closely with colleagues across Mediapoint and The PA newsroom to make sure contributions are timely, relevant and add genuine value to developing stories.
You’ll need to understand what clients are trying to achieve while also knowing what works editorially – spotting opportunities, challenging or strengthening commentary where needed and helping clients contribute credibly to the conversations that matter.
It’s a fast-moving role for someone who combines excellent client management with strong editorial instincts, commercial awareness and the ability to keep multiple accounts moving at pace.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
