Freelance Senior Account Manager (B2B Marketing)

Location: London (1–2 days per week in-office)
Contract Length: 1 Month
Day Rate: Up to £300 per day
IR35 Status: Outside IR35
Start Date: Immediate

The Opportunity

We're working with an established B2B marketing agency that partners with clients across regulated industries and is looking for a Freelance Senior Account Manager to join the team on a one-month contract to provide cover during a busy period. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced agency-side account handler who can hit the ground running, manage multiple projects, and build strong relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders.

The Role

As Senior Account Manager, you'll act as a key day-to-day contact across a portfolio of B2B accounts, ensuring campaigns and projects are delivered smoothly, on time, and to a high standard. You'll work closely with strategy, creative, content, and delivery teams to coordinate activity, manage timelines, and provide ongoing support across a range of integrated marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main day-to-day contact for clients across multiple accounts.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and workflows.
  • Coordinate internal teams to ensure successful campaign delivery.
  • Lead client communications, meetings, and status updates.
  • Support integrated marketing campaigns from planning through to execution.
  • Monitor project progress and help resolve issues proactively.
  • Assist with reporting, administration, and project documentation where required.
  • Balance multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced agency environment.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Senior Account Manager within a marketing, communications, creative, or integrated agency.
  • Strong background working with B2B clients.
  • Experience across regulated sectors such as financial services, insurance, fintech, professional services, or similar would be advantageous.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and client relationship skills.
  • Highly organised with strong project management capabilities.
  • Comfortable managing multiple workstreams and tight deadlines.
  • Able to quickly integrate into an existing team and make an immediate impact.
  • Available to start at short notice.
