Account Manager - Home Office
Would you like to be part of a team increasing adoption of Amazon Web Services across the Home Office? Do you have the business acumen and technical background to help establish Amazon as a key technology platform provider for one of government's most critical departments?
As an Account Manager for the Home Office, you'll help shape the future of cloud adoption across border, migration, and public safety missions. Your responsibility is to increase the market penetration of AWS across Home Office accounts. The ideal candidate has both a business and technical background, enabling them to engage at Permanent Secretary and CXO level as well as with developers and IT architects. You should be a self-starter, ready to develop and execute against a coverage plan aligned to the department's priorities.

A day in the life
As an Account Manager in the Home Office, no two days are the same. You might start the morning preparing a strategic engagement with digital leadership on modernising a border and immigration platform, then join Solutions Architects and partners to shape a secure data and analytics proposal for public safety. In the afternoon, you could run a workshop on using machine learning to accelerate visa casework, followed by a pipeline review. You'll engage senior officials across border security, migration, and crime reduction, working with partners to extend reach. Your customers are senior leaders across the Home Office and its agencies.
About the team
We are the AWS Central Government team within UK Public Sector, helping departments at the heart of government deliver better outcomes for citizens through technology. This role focuses on the Home Office — one of the largest, most operationally critical, and most security-sensitive departments in government, responsible for keeping citizens safe, securing the border, managing migration, and reducing crime. We help them modernise legacy systems, harness data and AI responsibly, and deliver secure, resilient services at national scale. If you want to work on things that matter, with customers making a real difference to public safety, this is the role for you.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience representing AWS within the customer's environment and driving discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management, and risk mitigation
- Experience leading the development of department strategy
- Experience with government procurement and contracting process
- Experience building and managing a healthy sales pipeline focused on driving revenue, adoption, and market penetration
- Experience in executive level engagement with SVP/VP/C-Suite

Preferred Qualifications:
- SC (Security Check) or higher clearance, or willingness to undergo clearance
