About the Job
We're looking for a Senior Account Manager in our New Car product area to join the Sales & Customer Partnerships team in Manchester. In this senior role, you'll help shape our strategy, turn industry insight into meaningful action, and lead through change while driving performance across some of our most important retailer and manufacturer partnerships.
- You'll work closely with major franchise retailers, manufacturers and internal teams to champion our New Car product. As a trusted partner and consultant, you'll support retailers as they transition while helping establish best practices and performance benchmarks across the wider partnerships community.
- You'll take ownership of key focus areas, including New Car Stock, Enhanced, Zero Stock and onboarding. You'll spot opportunities and risks in the market, helping partners and Autotrader adapt and grow. Drawing on your understanding of automotive trends, pricing strategies and technical data integrations, you'll build compelling business cases and present recommendations to senior stakeholders, including Franchise Directors and C-suite leaders.
- Reporting to the Head of Performance (New Car) and working alongside other Account Managers in New Car, you'll also collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders across Autotrader to influence decisions, improve ways of working, and remove barriers to progress. By bringing together commercial, product and customer insight, you'll help shape solutions that create value for our partners and improve business outcomes.
- As a senior member of the team, you'll coach and support colleagues, helping them develop their skills and confidence while contributing to a high-performing team culture, operational process and efficiencies.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
