Senior Account Manager - Payroll & HR Services

Permanent and Full time
Remote working (with occasional travel)
£60-80,000 per annum

I'm partnering with a leading business services organisation embarking on the mobilisation of a major outsourced HR and Payroll contract. This is a rare opportunity to join an organisation at the very beginning of a significant transformation programme, shaping the service before taking ownership of its long-term success.

You'll support the implementation, develop the operational structure, build senior stakeholder relationships and ultimately take strategic ownership of a large, complex account with significant visibility across both client and partner organisations.

This is a role for someone who enjoys creating, influencing and leading rather than simply maintaining the status quo.

The Opportunity

Joining during the mobilisation phase, you'll work alongside project, operational, technology and commercial teams to ensure the service is fully prepared for launch.

Following implementation, you'll become the senior relationship lead, responsible for operational performance, commercial success and the ongoing development of the partnership.

You'll oversee service delivery through an established leadership structure, manage senior stakeholder relationships and drive continuous improvement across a large-scale Payroll operation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Develop strategic account plans, identifying opportunities to strengthen and expand the client relationship.

Experience within payroll, HR outsourcing, shared services or managed service environments would be advantageous. However, we're equally keen to hear from candidates who have successfully managed large-scale service contracts in other sectors and can demonstrate previous hands-on payroll and HR experience.

Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to build a client account at its most exciting stage. You'll have the chance to influence how the service is built, establish long-term client relationships and shape the future direction of a strategically important account.

For the right individual, it offers a unique blend of operational leadership, commercial responsibility and high-level stakeholder engagement.

If you're looking for a role where you can genuinely make an impact rather than simply inherit an account, we'd welcome a confidential conversation.
