Role: Senior Account Manager (3 Month FTC)
Location: Remote working with 1-2 days in Slough onsite with clients
About the role:
As Senior Account Manager, you're the primary client partner for Client — building relationships that go beyond day-to-day delivery to become a genuine strategic voice within their business. Within a studio of 20–30 dedicated agency professionals, with 1–3 direct reports, you'll be accountable for account health, commercial performance, and the quality of every client interaction. Reporting to the Brand Partner, you'll work closely with Project Managers to keep delivery on track and clients engaged. You'll also play an active role in identifying new business opportunities — introducing OLIVER and Inside Ideas Group capabilities where they add real value.
What you will be doing:
- Lead the client relationship with Client across all levels of the organisation, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic digital partner
- Take accountability for the commercial health of the account — profitability, forecasting accuracy, fee negotiation, and regular financial reporting to the Brand Partner
- Oversee project delivery, run rates, and client satisfaction through structured WIPs and proactive account management
- Act as the escalation point for gaps in client or internal SLAs — capturing issues, proposing solutions, and working with the Brand Partner, Business Director, and Head of Operations to resolve them
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the account, connecting the right OLIVER capabilities to the right client needs
- Negotiate clear, fair outcomes with clients on behalf of your team — balancing expectations, capacity, and quality
- Manage, coach, and develop 1–3 direct reports, creating the conditions for strong performance and professional growth
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure every project is delivered on time, on brief, and to the highest standard
- Manage project-level and account-level budgets, including cost estimation, purchase orders, invoicing, and reconciliation
- Source and negotiate with freelancers and production partners where required
- Produce regular, accurate financial reports for the Brand Partner and Business Director
- Identify and flag budget risks early, with clear recommendations for mitigation

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
