Senior Account Manager

Location: Surrey (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Uncapped Commission

About the Opportunity

A growing and successful business is seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to join its commercial team. This confidential opportunity is ideal for a sales-focused professional who enjoys balancing the management and growth of existing client relationships with the generation of new business opportunities. The role is based on responsibilities including account management, client meetings, prospecting, and revenue growth.

You will be responsible for developing long-term client partnerships, identifying new opportunities within existing accounts, and driving new business revenues through proactive sales activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of existing client accounts to maximize retention and revenue growth.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, referrals, LinkedIn engagement, email campaigns, and telephone outreach.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Conduct virtual and face-to-face client meetings and presentations.
  • Understand client objectives and recommend suitable solutions to meet their needs.
  • Drive account growth through upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and successfully close sales opportunities.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently achieve revenue targets.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and project delivery.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports to management.
  • Support pitches and presentations to both prospective and existing clients.

About You

  • Proven experience in Account Management, Business Development, Sales, or a similar commercial role.
  • Strong track record of growing existing accounts and winning new business.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Confident presenting to clients and engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, ambitious, and target-driven.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and IT skills, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Professional, trustworthy, and able to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Experience delivering client presentations and pitches is highly desirable.
