Senior Account Manager

Express Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with an industry leading Software Company who are recruiting a Senior Account Manager to join their expanding team, based in the outskirts of Oxford.

The successful candidate will possess experience dealing with senior stakeholders in enterprise businesses, with the ability to expand and open new opportunities within these accounts. A background within tech/software service sales/account management is required with the ability to promote and upsell services in a consultative manner. Please note, the role involves commuting to the Oxfordshire-based office once a week.

Remuneration Package

  • Basic salary of up to £80k DOE
  • Commission structure offering the potential to earn an additional 50% of basic salary
  • 30 days holidays
  • 23 personal development days a year
  • £700 a year to spend on anything which aids your work-life balance
  • Fully paid month-long sabbatical after 5 years’ service
  • Flexible working options

Skills & Experience

  • Experience within a similar sales-focused Account Management position
  • Proven experience building strong relationships with senior stakeholders in enterprise businesses, with the ability to open doors with existing customers
  • A background in technology, software, digital marketing or similar
  • Ability to achieve KPIs and motivated by targets to achieve commission
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts, driving long-term partnerships and delivering account expansion through cross-sell and upsell opportunities
  • Manage senior-level client relationships, acting as the primary commercial contact for stakeholders including CEOs, MDs, and Sales and Marketing Directors
  • Carry and achieve revenue targets, working closely with partner representatives on co-selling opportunities
  • Build and execute strategic account plans, maintaining accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting
  • Collaborate with internal Principal Consultants to ensure seamless delivery while identifying new commercial opportunities within accounts
  • Apply consultative, value-based selling techniques to uncover client needs, maximise retention, and drive measurable business outcomes
