Senior Account Manager
£37,000 - £42,000
Fully remote (England or Wales preferred)
An established UK digital marketing agency working with SME clients is hiring a Senior Account Manager to take ownership of 10 to 12 accounts and step into a role currently held by one of the founders.
This is a senior, hands-on account role. You'll own client relationships end to end, lead strategy meetings, handle issues independently and act as the commercial brain across your book of accounts. Core focus is Paid Media, SEO and website work, with LinkedIn oversight and cold outreach as key parts of the mix. The agency is fully remote, so you'll need to be self-sufficient, confident and able to run accounts without hand-holding.
What you'll be doing
- Own 10–12 client accounts end-to-end, leading strategy meetings, relationships and issue resolution.
- Take strategic ownership of Google Ads and Meta Ads, covering funnel structure, offers and campaign performance.
- Manage SEO across accounts, including keyword research, on-page optimisation, technical migrations and reporting.
- Oversee landing page and website builds, briefing and QA'ing work without needing to code.
- Lead cold email/outreach strategy and oversee social media output, primarily LinkedIn.
- Identify commercial opportunities, upsells and contribute to wider GTM activity including ICP definition and lead generation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This role would suit a senior AM who wants real ownership of a book of accounts inside a well-established remote agency, with genuine scope to shape commercial strategy across their clients rather than sit inside someone else's process.
