Senior Account Manager UK, Ireland, NORDICS
Royal Avebe
For over 100 years, Royal Avebe has been unlocking the full potential of the potato. We create value from every part of the starch potato through innovation, expertise, and collaboration. Our 1,350 colleagues each contribute in their own way, helping to build a successful cooperative and a sustainable future. At Avebe, our way of working is called Play to Win. It is built on three core values: collaboration, ownership, and continuous development. These principles guide everything we do, from our farms and production facilities to our innovation and commercial teams.
Our Story
Our journey begins with our member farmers, who grow starch potatoes with care and expertise. In our advanced production facilities, these potatoes are transformed into a wide range of high-quality ingredients. Starch potatoes provide versatile starches, premium plant-based proteins, and valuable fibres, forming the foundation for innovative solutions developed by our Innovation Centre. Our ingredients are supplied to customers around the world and ultimately become part of everyday products, from food and beverages to household goods and animal nutrition. By harnessing the versatility of the potato, we actively contribute to the global transition towards more sustainable, plant-based solutions. Through our subsidiary Averis, we also develop proprietary potato varieties, further strengthening our integrated value chain.
The Role
As Senior Account Manager for the UK, Ireland and Nordics region (Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark), you will be responsible for managing existing customer relationships within the food ingredients market while identifying and developing new business opportunities with direct customers and distribution partners. You will play a key role in delivering the regional sales strategy, driving sustainable growth, and strengthening Avebe’s market position. The role is home-based and involves approximately 40-60% travel across the UK, Ireland, Nordics, as well as occasional international travel to international customers and internal meetings. In this position, you will report to the Regional Sales Manager Food EMEA.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
