Senior Account Manager – Key Business Partners
Department: Commercial
Location: North Wales
Working Pattern: 4 days onsite / 1 day WFH
Salary: Up to £70,000 + Bonus
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Reporting to: Head of Sales

We are working with a growing UK manufacturer specialising in healthy snacking and nutrition products, partnering with a range of recognised brands and retailers.
About the Role
As the business continues to expand its key customer portfolio, they are looking for an experienced and commercially focused Senior Account Manager to join the Commercial team.
The Role
The Senior Account Manager will take commercial ownership of a portfolio of strategic customers, building strong relationships and delivering profitable, sustainable growth. Acting as the primary commercial contact, you will develop a strong understanding of customer priorities and translate these into account plans and growth opportunities. You will have responsibility for sales, margin and volume performance, while identifying opportunities across innovation, range development and longer-term partnerships.

Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of strategic customer accounts.
- Build relationships across buying, technical, NPD, supply chain and marketing teams.
- Deliver agreed sales, volume and margin targets.
- Develop and deliver Joint Business Plans (JBPs).
- Identify opportunities for volume growth, range expansion, innovation and new business.
- Lead commercial discussions and customer review meetings.
- Manage customer budgets, forecasts and annual account plans.
- Monitor account profitability and identify opportunities to protect and improve margins.
- Lead annual price reviews and cost-recovery discussions.
- Manage tenders, quotations and commercial negotiations.
- Work closely with NPD and Marketing to develop new product opportunities.
- Coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, Technical, Finance and Marketing to successfully deliver customer projects and product launches.

Qualifications
Minimum 5 years' experience within Key Account Management, National Account Management, Senior Account Management or Customer Development.
Required Skills
- Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, private label or contract manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of margin, pricing and profitability.
- Proven track record of delivering profitable sales growth.
- Strong customer relationship management and negotiation skills.
- Commercially driven and confident dealing with senior stakeholders.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally within a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience within contract/co-manufacturing, healthy snacking, nutrition or food-to-go would be particularly advantageous.
- Experience managing JBPs and working closely with manufacturing, supply chain and NPD teams.
Pay range and compensation package
- Salary: Up to £70,000 + Bonus
