We are looking for a dynamic, tech-savvy Senior Accountant with strong technical skills and a curious mindset. You are comfortable using automation and data tools to work smarter, challenging the status quo and finding solutions together in a fast-paced environment. You can manage competing priorities, balancing the close calendar, audits, tax and ad-hoc requests while keeping quality high.
Working as part of a wider accounting team, this person will be responsible for the monthly management of accounts within the region, monthly reporting, tax compliance and the preparation of annual financial statements and completion of audits amongst other responsibilities. They must be proactive and deadline driven, willing to look at existing processes from new perspectives and help to guide and mentor junior members of the team.
This role works closely with other EMEA Senior Accountants and Junior Accountants, Accounting Managers, Accounts Payable, Payroll and Tax teams to ensure Dynatrace’s books and records are accurate and compliant with both US and local GAAPs.
This is a hybrid position, two days p/week from our Maidenhead office (Tuesday and Thursday)
Responsibilities
- Preparing the monthly reporting to the group under US-GAAP:
- Accruals/prepayments journals as necessary
- Liaison with all members of the Shared Services Centre who will have input into those numbers to ensure accuracy and understanding
- Financial reporting according to corporate deadlines including analysis of accounts and the production of variance commentary
- Full understanding and monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate recording incl. payroll related accounts
- Timely completion of statutory annual financial statements, audits and tax calculations workings in conjunction with local advisors and corporate auditors
- Monthly local reporting such as statistics and tax compliance
- Ensure all VAT returns are prepared and submitted in a timely manner
- Perform regular SOX controls for AP and Payroll transactions
- Weekly review of bank reconciliations for multiple entities
- Production of quarterly cash flow forecast
- Business partnering to gain knowledge for more accurate monthly reporting and forecasting
- Involvement in ongoing process improvement and standardisation projects

What Will Help You Succeed
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and local GAAPs (UK or other European countries)
- A technology-first mindset: using NetSuite saved searches, Excel/Power Query, Power BI and Power Automate to remove manual, repetitive steps
- Documenting and standardising processes and contributing ideas to process improvement projects
- Building effective working relationships across teams
- Multi country, multi-currency experience essential
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA part-qualified / fully qualified / equivalent qualification
- Experience of NetSuite ERP advantageous
- Experience of reconciliation system advantageous (e.g. Blackline)
- Data skills (AI tools, MS Power Platform, Excel etc)
- Technology industry and/or fast growth industry experience would be advantageous
- Deadline driven with excellent attention to detail and a self-starter
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills required, must be comfortable connecting with and communicating with individuals at all levels in the organization
- Must be a highly motivated individual with the ability to engage others
